For over 20 years, the team at Restorative Encounters has been connecting restorative and transformative justice practitioners with organizations and people just like you, to create environments where we all can live justly together.

All of our services are based in the principles and values of restorative justice.

Restorative Justice is a way of life rooted in indigenous teachings around the globe. It provides a path to personal and societal healing when injustice occurs. Based on the principles and values of restorative justice our work focuses on teaching communication skills, community development, facilitating difficult discussions, and training people in living restoratively, such as ways to handle disciplinary issues, and respond to complaints and grievances.

All of our services are based on four key features:

◾ Respect – for everyone by listening to all view points and learning to value them.

◾ Responsibility/Accountability - taking responsibility for our actions and even when that does not occur, ensuring appropriate accountability.

◾ Repair – developing the skills to identify solutions that repair harm.

◾ Re-entry/ Reconciliation - working through a supportive collaborative processes to come to address needs.

While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact. We don’t measure our success through just facts and figures, but through the experience of all those who have a restorative encounter.

We at Restorative Encounters are here to equip you with the tools you need and walk with you through the process of living justly and planning for how to respond restoratively when injustice occurs. Working with you to restore relationships and communities.
